Every year, NAFA Philadelphia partners with a charitable organization to increase awareness of and support an organization that is near and dear to our members. This year, NAFA Philadelphia is supporting Autism Delaware in memory of our dear friend and colleague Rich Neylan. Rich’s wife Kathy will attend the holiday luncheon on December 5th to present our contributions to Autism Delaware in memory of her husband.

Autism Delaware works very hard to raise public awareness of autism so that children and adults with autism can find acceptance and understanding in their communities.

Other initiatives include organizing advocacy efforts at state and national levels, funding a scholarship at the University of Delaware, and educating the medical community about the importance of early identification and intervention.

Autism Delaware also plans four major fundraisers throughout the year to keep their efforts going: the Walk-Race for Autism, which is a family event held in April; a celebrity-am golf outing in the spring; and two auctions held in the fall.

As they move toward the future, they hope to continue to grow to meet the needs of the ever-expanding autism community.

If you are interested in contributing to Autism Delaware, please join us on December 5th at Maggiano’s in King of Prussia and make your contribution there. If you can’t attend but would still like to contribute in memory of Rich Neylan, please contact info@nafaphiladelphia.org

Thank you sincerely,
